Select online or in-person (note: some times are online-only)

 Hot tip: You can adjust appointments to book up to 60 minutes. We recommend booking 60 minutes to allow enough time to address your priority issues (it's okay if you don't use the whole time!). 

 Consultations by appointment 

Once you have set up your account, you can log in to see available consultation times, and book the time and way of meeting that works best for you.

Consultation times

Appointment times change every semester and regularly include evening and weekend availability. Log into WCOnline and check Burnaby and Surrey schedules to see full availability. 

Looking for a drop-in time? Unbooked appointment times are available for same-day drop-in appointments.

 Hot tip: We recommend booking a full hour.

 Hot tips: 

  • You can go into the virtual consultation space before your consultation starts to make sure you are familiar with the way WCO works. This step will help you avoid tech delays during your booked consultation time.

Accessing your virtual appointment

Virtual Consultations are hosted through WCOnline (the same space where you book SLC consultations).

Once you book a consultation, you will receive an appointment confirmation email, which will include more information about how to access your online consultation.

In order to access your consultation, you will need to: 

  1. Log back into WCOnline. 
  2. Click on your appointment time.
  3. Then click on "Start or Join Online Consultation"

You will then be taken into a virtual room where you can meet your consultant.

 Drop-in consultations on the Burnaby campus

In addition to appointment times available on the WCOnline schedules, we also have SLC drop-in appointments available at different locations on the Burnaby campus weekly:

  • Tuesdays, 11:30-1:30pm -- Indigenous Student Centre (for self-identified Indigenous students only) (AQ 2002), starting September 10, 2024
  • Wednesdays, 11-12:30pm -- Women's Centre all gender common room (SUB Level 2,  Room 2220), starting September 18, 2024
  • Thursdays, 11-12:30pm -- Out On Campus lounge (SUB Level 2, SUB 2230), starting September 19, 2024
  • Various dates and times at the Global Student Centre (AQ 2013), starting September 24, 2024
