What is WriteAway?
WriteAway is an online platform where undergraduate students can upload their draft papers to receive feedback from qualified, trained writing tutors. WriteAway is an SFU-approved and academically honest way to get feedback on your writing.
WriteAway is offered through a consortium model, meaning that there are many participating academic institutions. Tutors are hired from each institution and students from each institution can submit their papers for feedback.
How does it work?
SFU undergraduate students can submit their draft papers to WriteAway to receive feedback. Papers may be read and responded to by tutors from any of the participating institutions (SFU students may not necessarily receive feedback from SFU tutors).
WriteAway aims to have a 48-hour turnaround time to respond to papers. Students can submit up to three drafts of the same paper for feedback.
For a first draft submission, students are prompted to start by selecting their institution and are then taken to a page where they can upload their submission. Feedback is sent directly to your email inbox. For second and third submissions, students can reply via email and simply attach the new draft.
