Read it longer: Interlibrary loan times extended by up to 300% for some books
Published by Yolanda KoscielskiGood news! As of today, interlibrary loan times for some books has now been extended from 3 weeks to 6 weeks*. This added loan time applies to books borrowed from partner COPPUL libraries (a collection of university libraries in Western Canada). In addition, there is a possibility of renewal for another six weeks, for a maximal potential loan time of 12 weeks!
Not sure what an interlibrary loan is? The InterLibrary Loan (ILL) Service supplements resources at the Simon Fraser University Library by obtaining materials from other institutions. For any book, book chapter, journal article, government document, theses/dissertation, newspaper on microfilm, and conference proceedings not available via SFU Library, we can request access from a number of national and international partner libraries. This service is provided to SFU faculty, staff, graduate and undergraduate students, emeriti, and adjunct faculty, free of charge.
*=note the return date for all material checked out prior to today (October 23, 2019) and for non-COPPUL books will remain 3 weeks.
