Expiring soon: DealScan & CSMAR

Published by Mark Bodnar

Are you contemplating a research project that involves data on Chinese publicly traded firms?  Or how about global commercial loan data

If so, don't procrastinate!  We have grant-funded, short-term dataset subscriptions that are perfect for both topics... and both are set to expire soon:

Logo of CSMAR
CSMAR: China Stock Market & Accounting Research
Data on Corporate Governance, Financial Statements, Stock Trading, Audit Opinion, Internal Control, and Equity Nature... and it's all yours until Dec. 31, 2020! (That's 78 days, in case you're counting.)

DealScan
Thomson Reuters DealScan
Data on deals in the global commercial loan market as well as contract information for high yield bonds, private placements, and hybrid financial structures. You have a bit longer to use DealScan: our subscription ends on March 31, 2021.  As of today, there's only 168 days left to explore, extract, and analyze this data – time flies when you're having fun!

These datasets have been made available through research grant funding awarded to a few faculty members.  If you are considering purchasing data with grant funds, contact me early in the process, and we can work together to try to make the data available to the entire SFU community!
