Q. Hi, I am taking Educ 427. There is an article on reserve in Burnaby. Can I get the title and author on line from the library website under the course? Thanks,

Published by Dipa Barua

Q. I live in Langley and have an alumni ID card. Is it possible to withdraw a book from the main campus through the library at the King George campus? There is only one copy of the book.

A. Yes, you may indeed request books to be transferred from Belzberg (Vancouver) & Bennett (Burnaby) to the Fraser Library in Surrey and vice versa.

Q. Hello there, I'm a full-time worker at Port Coquitlam, and I'd like to apply for a book renting card at SFU library, can you please tell me can I appy it at SFU, if yes, how can I make an application? And another question is that as a purchaser I'd like to borrow some books in purchasing, production & inventory control, or supply chain management, do you have such books in your library? Please advise me.
Regards,

A. Hi

Sorting checked out books in ascending order by due date

Published by Dipa Barua

Q. Hi,

A suggestion to have the the list of books checked out as displayed in My Library (i.e. My Library Record webpage) to be sorted ascending by due date. From a technical standpoint, I imagine it would be trivial to implement. Thanks.

A. Hello - By default, the system sorts the books checked out by check-out date. If you wish to re-sort the list by due date, please click on the icon at top-right, labelled as "Sort by Due Date".

This icon toggles between the options to sort by check-out vs. due date, in case you'd like to return to the default sort.

Q. I am not an SFU student, however, I'm interested in renting some books. Is this service only for SFU Students? If not, how can I go about getting a number?

A. Hello - Many thanks for contacting the SFU Library and for your interest in our collections at the Fraser Library. If you are not a SFU student, faculty, staff, or alumna, you can purchase an external borrower card from us. For rates and other information about the external borrower card, please see the link below.

Q. Hello,
The book "Research Methods for Criminal Justice and Criminology" is on reserve at the Burnaby campus. There are supposed to be two copies of this book; however, one of the copies has not been returned since December. Is there anyway for the library to purchase another copy of the book? Thank you,

A. Hi, We will see if we can buy another copy.
