About the workshop

Most frameworks for knowledge mobilization (KM) view the process as complicated, not complex. But KM happens in spaces where decisions still need to be made despite considerable uncertainty and disagreement.  Lots of uncertainty and disagreement make KM complex, not just complicated. Complicated systems are predictable, controllable and designable, while complex systems are unpredictable, self-organizing and emergent.  We will explore what this paradigm shift means for KM.
