Business & Econ Liaison Librarian, Mark Bodnar, was very helpful
Published by Dipa BaruaQ: I've been having a difficult time with a scoping review I'm performing, getting into databases I'm not all that familiar with (like Business Source) and altogether not knowing what I'm doing. I reached out to the library about having export issues and was referred to Business & Econ Liaison Librarian, Mark Bodnar, and honestly...I'm blown away. It turns out there was a bunch of complicated stuff going on with the way the searches were formatted, and Mark invested a lot of effort and time into making sure I didn't have to redo all of my work and was able to export the search that I needed. I'm working on a tight deadline for a project and just wouldn't have been able to get here without his help. The SFU library is very lucky to have liaison librarians like him and he deserves recognition for this! Was definitely above and beyond what I'd ever expect from reaching out for research help.
A: Thanks for your thoughtful feedback. I am happy to hear that Mark was able to help you out with your scoping review. Our team of liaison librarians are always happy to help students and faculty with their research questions. As Mark's supervisor, I know that he does great work, but it's always great to hear from researchers directly, thanks! Best of luck with your review!
