This workshop is in the past and registrations are unavailable.

All times are Pacific Time Zone (Vancouver, BC, Canada).

The 3-hour workshop is for SFU students, faculty and staff only.

It will include an introduction to the space and equipment, a demonstration of printing using our letterpress printing presses, wood type and metal type, and an opportunity to engage in setting type and printing yourselves.

Get a taste of how all books and ephemera were printed for hundreds of years until the 1960s in this exciting hands-on workshop.

No experience is necessary. You will likely not get dirty, but there is a chance as we are using ink, so please dress with that in mind. Also, for safety reasons, please wear closed-toed shoes only.

Registration is required.
