Q. Some staff at the desk are very arrogant and rude. I hope these people know that most students are not trying to make their lives difficult.  I am not disparaging the work that you guys do, and I am very appreciative of how hard the job can be, but please show some flexibility in dealing with students.

Q. Will SFU Library be hosting live streaming of TED Talks this year?

A. The SFU Library will not be streaming the TED Talks this year.

The streaming links have just yesterday been sent out by the TED organizers to local public libraries.  I know that West Vancouver Memorial Library will be setting up streaming (see the update on their home page at https://westvanlibrary.ca) but as of this afternoon Vancouver Public Library has not confirmed whether they would be able to organize streaming.

Q: There was a dirty and very smelly gentleman in the library. His smell was overpowering and his presence made me feel uncomfortable.

A: Thank you for your post regarding the possible homeless person in the library.  It is important to remember that the library is open to all members of the public, and not just the SFU community.

Q:  Food inside the library should be completely prohibited it does not just distracts people that are trying to study but also damages the books and computers in the building. I have been to several libraries and apparently this is the only one that allows food.
