Noise on the 3rd floor

Published by Dipa Barua

Q: I am studying on the 3rd floor of the Bennett library using the computers and in the past two days there are groups of pre-teen boys coming in to play video games on the computers and making a lot of noise (talking loudly, etc.). It’s quite disruptive.

A: The 3rd floor is a group study area, so people are allowed to talk in groups while using the computers. We have a quiet study area on the 4th floor (including the computer lab if it is not booked for a class) and a silent study area on the 6th floor. More information on the library policy on group, quiet, and silent study areas is here.
