Children's books classification at SFU

Formerly all children literature (picture books, etc.) were put in PZ, following LC practice, but with our own PZ table. Because the PZ section is getting too full, it was decided to class Canadian authors in the SFU Canadian lit. schedule.

  1. Any authors that are already established in our collection will stay with their established call numbers,  either PR etc. or PZ
  2. For new-to-the collection authors,
    1. for Canadian authors. Class in the SFU PR (Can. Lit.) range.
    2. for non-Canadian authors use the call number in the cataloguing copy or in the CIP,
      1. French language material with a PZ number should go in PZ 21-28 range if the author is NOT Canadian -- even if we have the English material in the PZ 5-10.
