1. Copyright for SFU Students Canvas tutorial updates
   1. Jennifer provided an overview of updates made to the tutorial in summer 2024: checking links, revision of some sections of text for plain language, revisions to the quizzes. The tutorial can be downloaded from the Canvas Commons and embedded in any course, and anyone can enroll here.
2. New Indigenous Knowledges and Copyright webpage
   1. Jennifer described this new resource developed by the Copyright Office, which addresses the interaction between the copyright system and Indigenous approaches to creating, using, and sharing cultural materials, and highlights considerations researchers should take into account when using Indigenous materials or working with Indigenous creators.
3. Splitting of University IP Policy into Research IP and Teaching IP policies
   1. Don provided an overview of the recent IP Policy review process by the Technology Licensing Office, and the recently-announced decision to split this policy into two separate policies - one for research materials and one for teaching materials.
4. Review and discussion of Draft Copyright Compliance and Administration Policy and Procedures
   1. Don led a discussion of these draft policy documents and provided an overview of the policy revision process. Committee members provided feedback on various aspects of the drafts.
