Q. I really dislike the new platform. I can never find anything, and filtering from the left sideboard is horrendous. Nevertheless, can you please help me find Standards for Batterer Intervention Programs in Canada: A History and Review?

Q. The Criterion on Demand database doesn't seem to work off campus. After logging in, when you click all titles, the page will look like it is loading but then it will return a blank page. I used this last semester. Do we no longer have access?
A. Thank you for reporting this. I was not able to replicate this issue from off campus. When I click the all titles link at the bottom of a search results page, the new results loaded, although it was a little slow.
Q. Could we please rectify the fruit fly problem on the 6th floor? Thank you.
A. In an attempt to diminish the fruit fly problem in the library, custodial services for the university is increasing the frequency of garbage and organic pick up, as well as providing fruit fly traps in problematic areas of the library.
We're hopeful that these additional services will remedy the situation.

Q. I was trying to access the WriteAway page from SLC and I failed the authorization process. Why?
Q. I would just like to let you know that the update that occurred to the Library Catalogue search (whenever it was) has made it worse. I have been attending SFU since 2011 (undergrad and masters), and I am finding that throughout this past semester it has been agonizing trying to find articles. The search system does not seem to recognize papers that I readily have access too. I instead have to go into every journal and download which takes so much longer. I am not sure why the search function is not matching terms easily and I am not sure who to talk to about this.
Q. The WIFI connection on the 2nd floor of the Bennett Library is so poor (no matter where you sit), most times it won't connect. Even when it finally connects, after a short period of time, the connection is gone. This happens to a lot of students, we are so frustrated.
Q. I find this new system to be less precise than the system it replaced. I am also constantly asked to sign in, even though I have already done so. Most frustratingly, I encounter a large number of links that go nowhere or ask me yet again to sign in only to return an error message. The new system also seems to offer more information such as tables of contents, but more often than not these promised links lead to an Amazon page without a table of content. Another related problem has been the promise of downloadable ebooks.
Q. Would it be possible to have power cord extensions installed on study carrels near the call numbers QH 541.5 to R 838.5 on the 6th floor of Bennett library? There are about 10 carrels without it. I've tried to use the power outlet on the wall but it's either too far from the carrels, or the power cables for the portable devices are often too short to reach the power outlet at the bottom of the wall. It would be greatly appreciated it.
A. Thank you for your suggestion and we'll consider installing power bars for the indicated study carrels.
