Q: I really don't like this new version of Windows. Can you install Ubuntu instead?  It would be really nice to be able to use Ubuntu here at school and not have to lug around my laptop to do it.

A: Thank you for your suggestion, but it is not possible at this time. We use the  Windows OS in concert with IT services and other departments on all campuses in order to provide a consistent experience and common platform amongst our lab PCs.

Q: The computers are way slower with windows 8 than they used to be with windows 7. I do not like the UI. What software does the university use that is not available on such platforms such as GNU/Linux? It will save the licensing fees.
