Windows 8 - Trouble Signing On

Published by Dipa Barua

Q: Signing on takes a really long time! Not really a huge fan of windows 8 on computers that aren't actually tablets.
Which library?  Bennett (SFU Burnaby Mountain)

A: Yes, signing on to Windows it does take a long time.

We have been unable to resolve this issue under Windows 8, but we plan on upgrading our Windows 8 pilot PCs to Windows 8.1 in the near future.

In our tests, the sign on to Windows 8.1 takes about the same amount of time as signing on to Windows 7 in the labs.
