Introduction
This is the Library's assessment for FPA course 235: Experimental Film and Video: A Survey of 20 Century Moving Image Practices (originally assessed as FPA 363). This course will first be offered in the Spring of 2006 and annually thereafter.
Monographs
All of the monographs listed in the course proposal are available at the SFU Library. The existing SFU Library book collection was assessed using Library of Congress subject headings for the topics covered for these courses. Related subject headings and our holdings are listed below:

Cost of all titles available to purchase (as indicated in revised course proposal): $1,665
May 31, 2005 update: The School for Contemporary Arts agrees to fund $1,000 for purchases of films/videos and $1,500 for rentals of films/videos for this course in 2006. The course outline will be modified to work within these funding limits. Further films from the desired list on the original outline will be acquired in future years.
