Total Cost
This is the Library's report on the proposed Masters Degree in Global Health Studies. This program is to begin in the Spring of 2007 by cohort special arrangement. It is estimated that the initial cohort will consist of 20 students, with eventual expected enrollment in the individual courses of 20-40 per year. Courses will take place at either the SFU Burnaby or Downtown campuses and costs for each location are broken down separately in this report.
Bibliographic Tools:
MEDLINE, CINAHL, the Cochrane Library, POPLINE, all provided by current library licenses, will be useful for locating resources for this program. Additionally, the Global Health database will be of great benefit to this program. This database was previously assessed for HSCI undergraduate programs and the faculty has already committed funding.
Belzberg Library Resources:
If some or all of these courses are offered at the SFU Vancouver campus, a core collection of Global Health materials will be needed at the Belzberg Library. Establishing this core collection was previously assessed in the Library's report for the proposed Graduate Diploma, Foundations of Global Health Studies. No additional funds will be required to establish this core collection.
