Introduction
This is the Library's assessment for a Master of Arts Degree in International Studies. Courses for this program as proposed to begin in the Fall of 2007. Each class has an estimated enrollment of 25 students. The program will consist of two streams -- (A) International Development and (B) Complex Emergencies.
Bibliographic Tools:
The library subscribes to a number of databases that will prove to be useful for this program including Human Relations Area Files: Collection of Ethnography, Humanities Index, SocIndex, Sociological Abstracts, SourceOECD, PAIS International, as well as many others. No additional bibliographic tools are required.

Additional titles will also need to be purchased on an ongoing basis in order to support Masters level research in International Studies at Harbour Center. The Belzberg library at Harbour Centre is already collecting in some subject areas (i.e. globalisation) that will support this program, but expansion is necessary. To support this program, the library will need to purchase 50 titles/year at an average book price of $75 = $3,750
