Introduction
This is the Library Report for all of the above listed International Studies Courses.
The majority of these courses will be served well by existing History and Political Science collections. However, Southeast Asia is a weak area of our current monograph collecting activities, as indicated by the costs associated with INTS 232 and INTS 314. For this reason, the library is assessing International Studies a one time fee of $2842 to fill this gap. The Library will cover ongoing funds required to support these courses out of existing allocations.
This report is based on the understanding that all of these courses will be taught at the Burnaby Campus. Should any of these courses be taught at either SFU Vancouver or Surrey, they will have to be reassessed and additional costs will be attached.
Bibliographic Tools:
Humanities & Social Sciences Index, International Political Science Abstracts, PAIS International, Sociological Abstracts, Historical Abstracts, and a variety of other multidisciplinary databases, all provided by current library licenses, will be useful for locating resources for this program. No additional bibliographic tools are needed.
Serials
The following lists of titles provide excellent examples of our holdings that will support these courses.
Political Science Journals
Intercultural Comunication / Diversity Journals
India Studies Journals
Asian Studies Journals
No additional serials subscriptions are needed at this time.
