Nominate a website for web archiving

Web archiving is the practice of collecting and archiving web-based content. For more information about web archiving at SFU take a look at the SFU Library Web Archiving policy

We welcome your nominations of online content to be included in SFU Library’s web archives collections. Submissions will be evaluated and may require follow up questions.

Understanding the limitations of what can be archived

Before submitting your website nomination, please note:

We may not be able to capture the exact form, functionality, and content of websites as they appear on the live web. Some examples of content that may not be captured properly:

  • Websites using dynamic scripts or applications such as JavaScript or Adobe Flash
  • Streaming media players with video or audio content such as YouTube or Spotify
  • Searches or online forms that require interaction with the website
  • Social media feeds such as Twitter or Facebook
  • We do not collect content requiring a password
