You must register with a valid SFU email address.  Access to LinkedIn Learning is restricted to current students, faculty and staff at Simon Fraser University.

Optional: You will have the choice to connect your LinkedIn account (if you have one).

LinkedIn Learning does not require a LinkedIn Professional profile to have a LinkedIn Learning account. If you chose to connect your LinkedIn Professional profile, you control your public vs private settings within your personal LinkedIn page.  LinkedIn Learning accounts are not publicly visible. See LinkedIn's Privacy Information for LinkedIn Learning Learners for more detail.

Transfer your courses, preferences, and history from Lynda.com by 01 April 2020

Activate your LinkedIn Learning account by 01 April 2020 to to transfer your Lynda.com history.

When you create a LinkedIn Learning account with your SFU email address, all your learning activity and history from your Lynda.com account will automatically be transferred to LinkedIn Learning.

For your Lynda.com history to transfer, you must use the same SFU email account for both Lynda.com and LinkedIn Learning. If the emails are not the same, there is no match point between the Lynda.com account and the new LIL account.

After 01 April 2020, you can still create a LinkedIn Learning account but your Lynda.com history will not be transferred over to LinkedIn Learning.

Update links to videos and courses by the end of March 2020

Links to individual courses and videos will automatically redirect from Lynda.com to LinkedIn Learning up until the end of March 2020. Before the end of March 2020, please update your links.

Download this link transition Excel spreadsheet tool from LinkedIn Learning to determine new LinkedIn Learning links/URLs. From within the tool, input the Lynda.com link and get the LinkedIn Learning link.  On the bottom tabs you can switch between single links or multiple links.
