Access to LinkedIn Learning is restricted to current SFU students, faculty and staff with a valid SFU ID and password.  Alumni access is not permitted.

Important note: To ensure retention of your personal content (including acquired LinkedIn Learning badges, certificates, etc.) in case the SFU subscription is discontinued at any point, please make sure to connect your LinkedIn profile to your LinkedIn Learning account.

The SFU Library makes the LinkedIn Learning (LIL) service available to you for your convenience. Your use of the LinkedIn Learning service at Simon Fraser University is voluntary. 

Please be advised that the personal information you disclose to LIL is stored on servers located in the United States of America.

By logging in to LinkedIn Learning (LIL), you consent to the collection of information about you. This information is collected for the University under the general authority of the University Act (R.S.B.C. 1996, c. 468), the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act (R.S.B.C.), and SFU Policy GP-24, "Fair Use of Information and Communications Technology". It is related directly to and needed by LinkedIn Learning and the University in order to provide access to LinkedIn Learning. The information collected at the time of login will be used only for the purposes of sufficiently identifying a unique user of the system or for troubleshooting sign-on issues. By logging into LinkedIn Learning with your SFU Computing ID, you agree to be bound by SFU's Terms of Service for LinkedIn Learning and by LinkedIn Learning's privacy policy. Note that LinkedIn Learning’s privacy policy is identical to the privacy policy of the parent organization, LinkedIn and notifications about changes to the overall LinkedIn privacy policy are expected to apply to LinkedIn Learning, as well.

LinkedIn Learning does not require a LinkedIn Professional profile to have a LinkedIn Learning account. If you chose to connect your LinkedIn Professional profile, you control your public vs private settings within your personal LinkedIn page.  LinkedIn Learning accounts are not publicly visible. Not currently affiliated with SFU? LinkedIn Learning is available for free from many public library systems if you have one of their library cards. Check out your public library to see if you have access.
