Associations and organizations

Alliance for Arts and Culture
Represents the interests of artists across the disciplines in B.C. Access to professional development and employment opportunities.

Canadian Association for Sound Ecology (CASE).
Affiliate organization of the World Forum for Acoustic Ecology an international association of individuals and institutions concerned with the social, cultural and ecological aspects of the sonic environment.

Canadian Electroacoustic Community (CEC):
Canada's national electroacoustic/computer-music association. Its project SONUS is an online listening library of electroacoustics in mp3.

Canadian Music Centre
Promotes the works of its Associate Composers. The CMC makes available scores of Canadian contemporary music composers through its lending library, and sells CDs of its Associate Composers and other Canadian independent producers.

Canadian Musical Reproduction Rights Agency 
Issues licenses and collects royalties for the use of music on CDs and other products on behalf of music copyright holders doing business in Canada.

British Columbia Arts Council
Provides support for arts and culture in British Columbia, through public education, research and advocacy. Awards funds to organizations and individuals.

The Canada Council for the Arts
Provides support for the development of individuals, groups, small ensembles, orchestras and other professionals working in the Canadian music community. Funds tours, concert production, sound recordings, festival programming, residencies and the commissioning of Canadian compositions. Maintains a performing arts directory, with information on presenters, festivals and contacts.
