General information
- Library hours
- Computers, photocopiers, scanners, and printers are available at all three libraries (Burnaby, Vancouver, and Surrey)
- All three branches have quiet study areas, as well as bookable group study rooms

Borrowing books and other materials
- You will be able to borrow most books (aside from course reserves) for 3 weeks.
- Renew your books online.
- You can borrow a laptop, a projector or headphones to use at all three libraries for 4 hours.
- You can borrow books in person from many other Canadian universities.
- Loans staff can answer questions related to borrowing (renewals, fines, etc.): 778.782.4345 (Burnaby), 778.782.5050 (Vancouver), and 778.782.7411 (Surrey).

Research
- The library has over 2 million books, more than 500 databases, and 63,000 journals. Many are available online 24/7 through the Library’s website.
- The library’s Chemistry Information Resources Guide has links to several key Chemistry resources, including:
- SciFinder Scholar,
- Reaxys,
- CRC Handbook of Chemistry and Physics, and
- Web of Science.
- If SFU Library doesn’t have the book or article you need, we can get it as an interlibrary loan – at no charge to you!
