Community Scholars Program application form

The Community Scholars Program (CSP) envisions a future in which Canadian nonprofit organizations are using, producing, and sharing research in order to build capacity and enhance their impacts. 

The CSP is accepting applications from individuals working on behalf of qualifying organizations. Please complete the application form below, and a Community Scholars Librarian will be in touch. 

Qualifying scholars will: 

  • Be employed by a Canadian-registered non-profit or charitable organization (currently BC and Ontario) (excluding government non-profits) or by a BC or Ontario Indigenous community, organization, or collective.
  • Recognize the benefits to their work of access to publications such as scholarly journal articles, e-books, reference works, and grey literature
  • Agree to the Library's Terms of Access (in the form below).

The information on this form is collected under the authority of BC’s University Act (R.S.B.C. 1996, c.468) and in compliance with Ontario’s Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act, as well as McMaster University’s Privacy Management Policy, and Notice of Collection, Use and Disclosure Statement. It is related directly to and needed by SFU for services provided by the SFU Library. The information will be used to administer the provision of access by Community Scholars to SFU Library materials, and may be shared with Library staff and partner institutions for purposes related to the program. By submitting this application you are consenting to this use of your information.
