This workshop will cover the basics of XML markup for digital humanities scholars wishing to produce transcriptions or encodings of books. We will cover basic XML structures and techniques for producing XML, and then discuss some of the tags and attributes from from the TEI guidelines, and how they can be applied to books and other texts.
