This workshop is a collaboration between the Student Learning Commons and the Sexual Violence Support & Prevention Office, offered as part of Sexual Assault Awareness Month (SAAM).
We recognize that writing is a vulnerable activity and that our boundaries can be overstepped in both our reading and writing experiences as students in a university context. Through a combination of case studies and open discussion, the workshop will focus on the importance of nurturing a culture of consent in our writing practices. Together, we will look at the approach to writing tutoring offered in the SLC and discuss ways to be more intentional about how we practice consent as student writers.
Tea, coffee, and light snacks provided.
