Borrowing materials & loans at Belzberg Library

Loan periods

Under the Library Loans Policy, there are two undergraduate loan periods for material in the general collection: items designated as high-use may be borrowed for three weeks; other items may be kept until the end of the semester, subject to recall and reduced loan periods.

Faculty and graduate students may borrow all general loan material for the semester, subject to recall and reduced loan periods.

For more information, see Borrowing Library materials.

Materials to be used in the Library

Reference materials, non-circulating items, periodicals and newspapers are for use in the library only.

Requesting books and articles from other locations

Books and journal articles from the main WAC Bennett Library can be sent to Belzberg for faculty and students downtown, usually within two days.

For more information, see Getting books and articles delivered from other SFU Campus libraries.

For items not at SFU, you can request an Interlibrary Loan.

Returning Library books

Except for Reserve books and special loans, items borrowed may be returned at any SFU library.
