A number of organizations and online resources advocate for greater access to clinical trials. These might include, for instance, broader access to trial results, or more comprehensive listing of all trials conducted. Some resources:

AllTrials.net: "AllTrials calls for all past and present clinical trials to be registered and their full methods and summary results reported".

NEW: Hormones, Brain and Behavior

I'm pleased to note the library now has access to the third edition of the online Hormones, Brain, and Behavior (2017).

This online encyclopedia has dozens of academic entries on a way range of brain topics. Examples:

  • Mammalian and non-mammalian hormone-behavioral systems
  • Molecular and cellular mechanisms
  • Critically important hormone effects on brain and behavior
  • Development of hormone-behavior relationships

PsycINFO Renovations

PsycINFO has added or updated a number of new fields in their database. Some highlights:
 
a. A new "open access field": "This new field makes it clear at a glance if an article or journal indexed in PsycINFO is open access."
 
b. A new "data set field": "When a data set is provided, PsycINFO records now include DOIs and other links for access to a data set, as well as a description."
 
c. MESH subject headings integration -- useful if to know if you are conducting a systematic review.
