On tidying up the office... (or not)

Sooo... Staples Advantage Canada has named today "National Clean Your Office Day."  My cynical side sees the obvious marketing ploy, of course, but my I-can't-find-my-desk side grudgingly accepts that perhaps some tidying and organizing (and recycling, scrubbing, airing-out...) might be worth investigating.

I was just looking for something in our ThomsonOne-Investment Banking database when I noticed a feature that I hadn't really explored before.  Under Screening & Analysis > Individuals > Officers & Directors > Connections I was able to track the connections between two directors or C-suite personnel from different corporations.

Some good news for a rainy, grey day:

You can now sit at home in your PJs (or in your office, I suppose, although the PJs may not be a good idea then) and arrange for books in our branches to be retrieved and put on hold for you.  Then wait for a pause in the deluge a day or two later and zip up to grab your books. (We'll hold the book for up to 7 days.)   Yes, we love you *that* much!

OK, I couldn't resist.  With Valentine's Day looming on the horizon, how could I not talk about research done on Office Romances? My interest was piqued by an alert I received about Vault's 2014 Office Romance Survey: Love Is In The Air.  But, being a librarian, I couldn't resist digging a bit deeper into the topic.
