Q: When I click on the full text link for the resource, Villains, Heroes, Fools and Lovers: Stage Managers in Western Drama, I get sent to a page that says "Oops! It looks like you have attempted to view a page that has not been configured for access."

I'm wondering if I can access the full text online for this or not?

Q: Has there been any consideration given to the lending of physical books during ongoing social distancing/quarantine? I am working on my thesis and although I withdrew a large number of books prior to the library closing, there are several that I have since identified I still need. There is no corresponding online resource, and the prospect of not having access to relevant books perhaps into or even throughout the Summer semester is extremely distressing.

Q: Why are we now blocked from using the New Yorker Digital Archive, an invaluable resource that was fully accessible with a library login as recently as last semester? It is still listed among the library's databases but when you log in with your SFU password, you confront the New Yorker's own subscriber login and can get no further.

Q: I deeply appreciate the aggressive measures you've taken to curb the spread of the COVID-19 virus, however, I wanted to make you aware of how the library closure is impacting me as an external borrower. I work at another institution in the lower mainland and I'm currently writing up my PhD thesis with a deadline to submit this summer. As an international student, I don't have physical access to my host university's library and while I do have access to the library where I work here in BC, their holdings are small.

Q: A change was made to what alumni can access away from SFU computers. I am an alumnus who works as a research assistant for an SFU professor, and have to travel to campus if I want to access journals or e-books.

Is there any way I can get access to these materials as an employee of SFU? It was an inconvenience before, but now avoiding public places is desirable, so I need to find a better work around. I see that a professor can grant me borrowing privileges on her behalf, but that doesn't look like it's the same thing.

Q: There are two (possibly more) journals at the SFU library that I would like to leaf through from the 1930s to the 1950s. They are Acta Linguistica (the one from Denmark) and Travaux du Cercle Linguistique de Prague. However, the catalogue page says "Closed Storage - Journals (Temporarily unavailable due to emergency repairs. Please request via Inter-Library Loan".

I can't request them from ILL because I want to leaf through each issue. Do you know when they will be available at SFU?

Q: I am not getting this paper in the library cited as:

A:  The SFU library does not have electronic access to, or a physical copy of, the book, In Situ Hybridization Protocols, that this article is a part of.

Q: I trying to order an ILL book and am not sure how to proceed. The book is Laudes Regiae: A Study in Liturgical Acclamations and Mediaeval Ruler Worship, by Ernst Kantorowicz.

Q: I was just wondering if we no longer have a subscription to the journal Nature. Myself and many of my colleagues are no-longer able to access their papers.

A: The library does have a current subscription to Nature. You should be able to access all issues through the library catalogue or journal list.

Q: Is there a problem with this link? I have tried to open it and here is the response I received: "Connection refused by www.degruyter.com, please try again later."

A: We received an update from De Gruyter tech support. They have notified us that the loading issue with their site has been resolved. Please clear your cache, cookies, and history in your web browser and try accessing the "Basic Income Studies" journal again through its library catalogue page.
