I will need a bit more information before I can help you. There are many tutorials on the library website.
Which tutorials in particular are causing a problem, can you send links to the pages or tutorials?
When you say you are 'not allowed' to open them, are you getting an error message? What is the text of the message?

Q: Why is Oregon Historical Quarterly only accessible up through 2010?

The journal Oregon historical quarterly is only available to 2010 as JSTOR does not provide access to the most current issues of journals because of agreements made with publishers. In most cases 2-5 full years plus the current calendar year are excluded, except for selected titles from the Current Scholarship Collection.

Q: I am trying to download a journal article in pdf form and it doesn't work. When i try to download I get a 'contentserver.asp' file and when I try to open that dreamweaver opens up with unintelligible content.

I was able to get the full text of the article and successfully download the PDF by navigating to the journal and then issue from here (choose Humanities Source - EBSCO): http://cufts2.lib.sfu.ca/CJDB4/BVAS/journal/144188

Q: There are 2 search boxes on the library home page (one for the library and one for SFU search). The cursory is dropped by default into the library search box. If I move the cursor into the SFU search box, it is because I want something other than a library search.

However, when I do this, with the cursor in the SFU search box... I still get a library search! So I have to click again to change the default to SFU search. This behaviour is most unexpected - can it be corrected?
