Searching the works of an author

Published by Dipa Barua

Q. I just want to vent that the old troy.lib.sfu.ca library search engine, while not as pretty, is DECISIVELY better at making things easy to search for, compared to the bloated search of search.lib.sfu.ca. Although, technically it looks like the troy.lib.sfu.ca equivalent, now it is sfu-primo.hosted.exlibrisgroup.com. Still, I just want to be able to quickly scan all the works of a given author. I don't need to see the book cover, and have it take up space as I hit the next page, next page, and next page.

A. Thank you for your feedback. If you want to search for an author, you might want to try using the Browse Search >> by author in the Catalogue. It is a link in the top menu of the Catalogue. I've replicated your search "Augustine" in the Browse Search by author. This type of search may have been what you were looking for.

For more tips and help on using the new Catalogue, there is a comprehensive Library Catalogue search guide.
