Google Scholar Access

Published by Dipa Barua
Q: When students try accessing Google Scholar from here http://cufts2.lib.sfu.ca/CRDB4/BVAS/ they are required to pay to view sources. You should make a note that if they use it through the database by
searching for it, it is free.

A: Due to changes that Google Scholar made to their service, we can no longer pre-authenticate searches in Google Scholar from that page.  Pre-authentication was producing too many error messages.

Instead, users can obtain full text links to SFU Library resources, by going to Google Scholar and clicking on More - Settings - Library links. Then type and select "Simon Fraser University - Where can I Get This?" and Save.

OR use the Off Campus and Wireless Access Bookmarklet to gain access to the full text on publisher sites.
