Feedback on Lynda.com

Published by Dipa Barua
Q: I would just like to let the library and SFU in general know how much I appreciate having access to Lynda.com. It's great to be able to access all those tutorials when and as I have time for them and to have them broken down into manageable bits. This really helps me maintain and advance my marketable skills while I'm studying - and brushing up on software (from Photoshop to Excel) helps me present and carry out my academic work more effectively too. I really hope SFU maintains this service for students.
Which library?  Belzberg (SFU Vancouver)

A: Thanks very much for your feedback on lynda.com. I'm glad to hear you're finding it so useful as a tool to learn skills and software for your current academic work, as well as using it to gain skills that employers will be looking for when you graduate. I agree that it's a wonderful resource.

Currently, the Library is only able to guarantee its subscription for 2014. The Library hopes to continue its subscription into 2015 and beyond, but this will depend on budgetary considerations.

Thanks again,
Shane Plante
