Donating books to the Library
Published by Dipa BaruaQ. If I have scholarly books that I'm removing from my home library, is there a way to check if the library would accept them for the collection (if they're books the library would like)? I'm happy to send a quick bibliography.
A. Thanks for thinking about the SFU Library.
We consider donations of materials for the Library if they are suitable for the Library's Special Collections and Rare Books collections. Some examples are rare and unique photographs, rare books, personal archives, etc.
If your books do not meet this criteria (full criteria listed on our Gift policy page (http://www.lib.sfu.ca/about/overview/collections/gifts), you may want to see our suggestions on the Gift Policy page, for other organizations that may accept books.
Sincerely,
