Access to Bilingual Research Journal

Published by Dipa Barua

Q: I can't get access to the following journal article online: Lee, Jin Sook, & Oxelson, Eva. (2006). "It's Not My Job": K-12 Teacher Attitudes Toward Students' Heritage Language Maintenance. Bilingual Research Journal, 30(2), 453–477.

The error message that I'm getting from Google Chrome is that "www-tandfonline-com.proxy.lib.sfu.ca redirected you too many times." I cleared the cookies but it didn't make a difference.

A: Thank you for contacting the library. The error that you have encountered is a browser error that can affect access to some websites. Usually it can be resolved by clearing the cache, cookies, and history in the web browser.

In this case, there is an additional issue with the article itself. Resolving the browser error will allow you to reach the article's webpage, but you will still be unable to view the full text due to an issue with the article's PDF file.

We have reported the problem to the publisher, but it may take some time for them to resolve the issue. If you need the article, we suggest you submit an interlibrary loan request for it. Interlibrary Loan staff will be able to check if a copy of the article can be obtained from another source. You can email the Interlibrary Loan department at sfuill@sfu.ca to place the request.
