Access support for your writing (English or French) and study strategies

The Student Learning Commons continues to offer free writing support this Summer term.

Virtual writing and study strategy consultations are available until August 13. Evening and weekend consultation slots are also available.

What is a writing and study strategy consultation?

Well trained graduate and undergraduate students from various disciplines are available to support you with any stage of the writing process - from narrowing a topic to reviewing a draft.

Consultants can also help you identify effective study and time management strategies.

Watch the short video "Top 5 Things to know about your virtual SLC appointment" from the consultations page to make the process of booking and joining a consultation on our online platform quick and easy.

What about papers written in French?

If you are writing a paper for a course offered in French, Carrie N. (Monday to Friday evenings) and Emily M. (Thursday mornings and Friday afternoons) are here to help!

What about graduate students?

Graduate students are welcome to access the virtual writing and study strategy consultations described above. They can also access specialized writing support through the Research Commons

Check out the Read-Ahead service to have a consultant read your writing and respond to you with written feedback!
