Whether you’re coming from high school, transferring from college, or resuming your education after some time away, attending Getting Ready for Academic Success will give you a head start on succeeding at university!
Come and get ready to:
- Develop the time-management habits necessary for success as a university student.
- Maximize your effectiveness in on-campus and online lectures, reading, and studying.
- Research and write university-level papers.
- Ask questions of a panel of successful upper-division students sharing their strategies and answering your questions about attending SFU.
Other bonus features include:
- A free lunch!
- Opportunities to connect with like-minded students who are also new to SFU.
- Experience using Canvas, the same Learning Management System used for most SFU courses.
Attendance at Getting Ready for Academic Success and most Student Learning Commons workshops are eligible for inclusion on your Co-Curricular Record.
