All times are Pacific Time Zone (Vancouver, BC, Canada).
Lectures are a relatively low effort way of keeping up with class material. Yet many students question their usefulness and even stop attending (especially when course recordings are online), resulting in their feeling disconnected from course content, and/or falling behind. Attend this workshop to learn how to maximize the effectiveness of your lecture attendance. Students in their first year will find this workshop especially useful in transforming their high school study habits into University ones, and learn how to get the most out of their lectures. The live session may be recorded for later use.
Not able to attend? Check out our list of workshop recordings also available at anytime online.
Most Student Learning Commons workshops, including workshop recordings viewed online, are eligible for inclusion on your Co-Curricular Record. To receive Co-Curricular credits, fill out the CCR Reflection Form.
Note: Students cannot receive Co-Curricular (CCR) credits for a workshop if the workshop is already being used to receive academic credit in a course.
