 About this workshop series

This workshop series is designed for graduate students who speak English as a second or an additional language as well as students whose dominant language is English who wish to polish their public speaking voice.

English, like music, has its own melody and rhythm. Learn how to improve your fluency in English by focusing on prosody—the rhythm, melody, stress, and intonation—that help listeners follow the meaning of what we say. We will review each of the four levels of the prosody pyramid-thought groups, focus words, stress, and peak—and apply them to our own speech to speak with confidence and clarity.

Note: This workshop was previously in-person, but will now be conducted online.

*Note: You just need to register once to join in as many sessions as you wish.
