Find books, DVD's, and games in the Library's collection by searching the catalogue (under FIND) on the Library's website.

Find journal articles via the library databases (under FIND) on the Library's website. Databases are organized alphabetically and by subject. You will be asked to log in with your SFU ID if you are using the databases off-campus.

Not sure what to look for? See our subject-based Research guides (under HELP), which list key library resources for each academic program.

Where can I ask for help?

Drop by the Reference Desk, email us at lib-surrey@sfu.ca, or call 778-782-7414.

You can also ask questions online using the our Ask Us services. We provide both email and live chat services.

Where are the readings my professor assigned?

Your professor may have put certain required or recommended readings or media resources on "reserve" at the library. These are located in the Reserves area, just past the Loans Desk. Click on the Reserves link on the Library website to get a list of these materials by course number or instructor's name.

Can I get materials from other SFU libraries?

Yes! Using the Library catalogue, you can request that materials from the Bennett Library (Burnaby campus) or from the Belzberg Library (Vancouver campus) be delivered to SFU Surrey for you. There is no charge to SFU students for this service.

To initiate the transfer, search for the book or journal title in the Library catalogue, click on the Request button, and fill in the form. Generally, the book or article will arrive in two working days. Transferred items may be picked up from the Holds shelves in the Media & Reserves room next to the Loans desk.

Are there printers and photocopiers in the Library?

Yes, there are both photocopiers and both black & white and colour printers. You will need to purchase a print/photocopy card.
Dispensers are located both in the Fraser Library copy/print room and across from the Security desk on the mezzanine.
