Special Collections and Rare Books at SFU Library - Gifts and Donations

The SFU Library has been the grateful recipient of many books from the collections of University faculty, staff, and other Friends -- books and archival material that enhance our collections and provide valuable resource material for our sholarly community.

Gifts continue to play a critical role in the development of Special Collections and Rare Books. We continue to seek donations of books and materials in the following areas:

  • Collections with British Columbia emphasis in the areas of history, literature, publishing, gay/lesbian studies, politics, multiculturalism, environment, social issues
  • Collections on cartooning and the history of cartooning
  • Twentieth centure modern, post-modern and avant-garde writing (Contemporary Literature Collection)
  • William Wordsworth and the Lake District
  • Rare books and special collections
