HelpDocs: Tables, Figures, Images
In a thesis, tables and figures are a means by which authors may present their data.
- Arial is the best font for representing data in tables and figures, molecules, and in equations.
- Learn how to manipulate your tables well--attend a Theses: Tables, Images, PDFs, High-Quality Print workshop.
Avoid using landscaping pages/sections in your document.
- Create your landscaped tables in another file (see Landscaped Tables template), then convert to a high-quality PDF, a high-quality JPG, crop and rotate, and insert the image(s) below the caption in your thesis.
|(Table titles are not included in/with the table.) - Use high-quality JPGs (min 300dpi), crop and rotate, and insert the image(s) below the caption in your thesis.
(Figure/Image titles are not included in/with the figure/image.) - See the Images page and workshop handout for more information.
