Tests
The SFU Library does not maintain a collection of standardized tests. Tests that have been published within books or journal articles will meet the needs of many students, and may be especially appropriate because they can be administered by people without professional credentials. Some of these tests can be located through searches in ERIC for education-related tests or in PsycInfo for psychological tests.
Other ways to identify tests on specific subjects are described at the page "Testing and Assessment" maintained by the American Psychological Association:
- Directory of unpublished experimental mental measures. 8 vols. BF 431 G625 1997
- Encyclopedia of social measurement.
- Health and psychosocial instruments.
- Mental measurements yearbook. Also in print LB 1131 Z923
- Tests in print. Also in print LB 3051 Z973 1999
University of British Columbia holds a collection of standardized tests at the Psychoeducational Research and Training Centre (PRTC) within the Faculty of Education. Members of the SFU community can use this collection under some circumstances, but it is advisable to call first (604)822-5384.
