In-person research help: Reference and information services

Research help

For in-person help with research, visit one of our Research Help Desks, located in all three SFU Libraries. Friendly  staff will show you how to find and use the best information resources for your topic. You can book an appointment or drop in.

Liaison librarians also create research guides outlining information sources and research strategies for academic disciplines.

  • The W.A.C. Bennett Library (SFU Burnaby) Research Help Desk is on the 3rd (main) floor near the library entrance, phone 778.782.4345
  • The Belzberg Library (SFU Vancouver) Research Help Desk is opposite the entrance as well, phone 778.782.5051

Liaison librarians

As well as asking for point-of-use help at a Research Help Desk, you may also contact a subject specialist librarian for assistance with more complex research questions. See the list of Liaison Librarians to find the subject librarian for your area.
