Finding Canadian Theses

Library and Archives Canada's Canadian Theses Portal has citations for all theses from 1965 to the present. The full text of theses from 1998 onward are available free in electronic format. 

Finding Theses Worldwide

Digital Dissertations database has information about North American and some foreign theses - some are fulltext.

Many databases, such as MLA Bibliography, Sociological Abstracts, or PsycINFO have theses grouped by subject area.

A pioneering academic trial called PhdData is creating a worldwide index of current doctoral theses in progress. You can search this database at PhdData.org.

Along with many universities from North America, the Networked Digital Library of Theses and Dissertations (NDLTD) also has links to  thesis published at universities worldwide.
