What's the barcode number that I'm asked for when I request books or when I try to access databases, ejournals, ebooks and other library resources available over the web?

Your SFU Library barcode is the number that begins, 2 9345..., on your SFU student/staff card. It is not your student number.

If you had your card made recently, the number should be typed on the front. If you have an older card, the barcode number may be printed on a label on the back of your card.

If you don't have your card, you can retrieve your barcode number online.

When entering your barcode number on the Library's forms, don't put any spaces between the numbers, even if there are spaces on your card.

For your security, it is important to reset the browser when using public workstations in the Library. Click on File, Exit, to reset the web browser and clear your personal information.
