Can I use the databases and/or electronic journals outside of the library?

Most library databases, electronic journals, web-based books and other e-resources can be accessed from off campus by:

  • current students,
  • faculty,
  • staff,
  • students taking a semester off who have purchased the extended privileges card,
  • Fraser International College students.

Alumni may access some electronic resources from off campus and almost all electronic resources from within library buildings.

External Borrowers generally may only access selected databases from within library buildings.

Logging in

Access databases, ejournals, ebooks etc. by using the library search or follow the links on the library web site. If required, you will be prompted to type in your SFU computing ID and password in order to log on.

If you have not been given a SFU computing ID log in use your last name and the SFU Library barcode.
