Can I get books and articles delivered from the other campus libraries?

Yes. Find the book or journal in the library catalogue and place a Request. You can then select the branch where you would like to pick up the item.

For an article in a journal only held at a library branch you normally don't use, check the holdings information, which list the journal volumes owned by the SFU Library, to be sure that the specific volume and date that you need is available. Then click on the "Request This Item" button at the top of the page and follow the directions. The article will be sent to you electronically using the Library's secure Post-to-Web service, usually within 2 days.

For an article in an edited book or a conference proceeding, select "Request This Item" to place a hold on the book. The book will be sent to the Circulation/Loans desk if you choose to pick up at Belzberg or Surrey, or on the Holds shelf in Reserves if you choose Bennett, usually within 2 days.

From Belzberg Library computers only, journal articles may be requested directly from many of our library databases. From other computers, find the periodical or journal title in the library catalogue and place a request.

You will be notified by email when your book or article is ready for pick up. For more information, please see the How do I know when a book I've requested is ready to pick up? FAQ.
