Extended Library hours for spring semester

Burnaby campus: 24/7 opening starts March 20

24/7 opening starting March 20th at the W.A.C. Bennett Library in Burnaby -- through till 10 pm on Friday April 21st.

Surrey campus: Extended evening exam hours April 2 - 20*

* Holiday hours will still apply.

Mondays - Fridays: 8:00am to midnight
- Study hall 9:00pm to midnight, after regular library hours

Saturdays & Sundays - 10:00am to 9:00pm
- Study hall 5:00pm to 9:00pm

*Easter (Good Friday, Easter Weekend, Easter Monday; April 14 to 17)
10:00am to 9:00pm
- Study hall 5:00pm to 9:00pm

During study hall hours

  • a valid student SFU ID card is required
    • to enter the Bennett Library (SFU Burnaby) during extended hours
    • to enter the SFU Surrey campus after 10 pm
  • study space is available throughout the Library
  • security will be on the premises ensuring safety, security and emergency  management
  • Library staff will not be available to provide assistance
  • self-checkout only, including holds
  • books and media can be returned to after-hours drop box
  • Library staff will be available to answer questions, and checkout material and equipment during regular Bennett and Fraser hours.
  • Fraser (SFU Surrey) only:
    • reserves are available by self-checkout
    • equipment loans cannot be picked up/returned - if borrowed equipment is dropped off during extended hours, overdue fines will be applied
    • Games Room will be closed.
